Moon General Hospital started as a single doctors' chamber in 2007. Today it's fourteen departments, resident physicians on duty every day, and specialists from Dhaka and Sylhet who hold weekly chambers here — all in Shayestanagar.

Shamsul Alam opened Moon Doctors Chamber in Shayestanagar in 2007 — a single room, at a time when private healthcare wasn't yet a common investment in Habiganj.
By 2011, the practice had expanded into Moon Doctors Chamber & Diagnostic Center in Sabujbagh, adding laboratory and diagnostic services. In 2019, it became Moon General Hospital: fourteen departments, resident doctors, and weekly chambers from consultants across Dhaka and Sylhet.
