Moon General Hospital carries a medical legacy back to 2007, and opened here in Shayestanagar in 2019 as a complete general hospital — thirteen departments, resident doctors around the clock, and specialists from Dhaka and Sylhet who hold weekly chambers.

Moon General Hospital traces back to a single room in Shayestanagar in 2007 — Moon Doctors Chamber, opened by Shamsul Alam at a time when private medicine wasn't yet a common local investment. What grew from there, over twelve years and one expansion, became a full-service hospital launched at full scale in 2019.
